NGOs

The Horizon hub is dedicated to NGOs, these organisations typically founded and established by individuals or groups of people who are motivated by a shared concern or cause. The founders of NGOs often come from diverse backgrounds, including:

activists and advocates: people who have been actively involved in advocating for social or environmental issues may come together to establish an NGO. Their experience drive the creation of an organisation dedicated to make a positive impact.

Experts and professionals: Professionals with expertise in a specific field, such as healthcare, education, environment, and human rights, as they see the need for efforts to address a particular issue.

community leaders: Local community leaders or individuals deeply connected to their communities may start NGOs to address local challenges. 

Academics and researchers: researchers or academics who are passionate about translating research findings into practical solutions may establish NGOs.

philanthropists: philanthropists are individuals that donate money to help sick and poor people or financing museums or schools for a better society.

Social Entrepreneurs: social entrepreneurs who aim to create positive social change through innovative solutions, may establish NGOs to implement their initiatives. These individuals often blend business principles with social impact goals.

Former Volunteers: Individuals who have volunteered with existing NGOs or charity organisations may decide to establish their own NGO after gaining experience in addressing specific issues.
