3D outcomes: planning

 3D model Planning

To realise the 3D model of my AP1 project I have decided to use 3mm thick mdf board from the wood workshop for the walls, and for the windows and glass I am thinking of  clear plastic from the plastic workshop.

This is week 7, and we re 2 weeks far from the final presentation. To make the final 3D model we were asked to make a prototype to try materials and understand the 3d model outcome. the following imagines show my prototype making:

I made the prototype from cardboard and I used masking tape to see how the final model would look like, it was not that hard to make but it may be harder because of the edges, I think that making the sample helped me discover how I can make the real one. The final model might take approximately  three to four days to finish, also I am going to make the model smaller than the prototype

  1. This task was about prototyping - please use the correct terms. The size of this model is quite large scale - for your outcome you should consider making this smaller - remember the concept models we looked at in the Skills sessions in Week 5.

You still haven't posted the posts from our discussion in Week 5, where we outlined the essential elements that needed to be posted, such as location (and why you chose it), materials (where they would be sourced, how it fits with other architecture in the area), demographics (Ben Aknoun and who this construction would serve), the purpose of the building etc.

As far as I can see, and this was very evident in your presentation this week, you have not progressed since Week 4/5. There is so little evidence of you engaging with this project or taking it seriously, it is difficult to see how you are going to resolve the project satisfactorily. You have one quickly made drawing which you showed in your presentation. It is essential that you focus on this project (now you no longer have 2D 3D to do) and cover the missing elements I mentioned above on your blog urgently.
