Project Title: Healing house 

 

Project Aims and Objectives: 

 I chose this project because nowadays all what people are caring about is to work, study, problems... and at some point they forgot about their mental health and how important it is. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. our mental health can be affected by many things and of those things is the physical environment 

I will be researching the following architects 

-Andrew Skurman

-Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

-Odile Decq

Digital software used 

I will be using SketchUp and photoshop to make and edit the plans 

Architect that ispire me 

Andrew Skurman 

   born in New York 1953.

He received his Bachelor

of Architecture in 1976

from Cooper Union in New York City,

 Skurman s architectural expertise lies

in the elegant and refined

expression of Neoclassical architecture and

he interpretation of French,

Georgian and Mediterranean

architectural style.  the illustration 

shows some of his work that inspire me .

            

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

 was a German-born American architect

whose rectilinear forms,

crafted in elegant simplicity,

 epitomized the International Style

and exemplified his famous

 principle that “less is more”

the are the project that he has done 

and that I find amazing 

-Odile Decq

Odile Decq is a French architect,

 urban planner and academic.

 She is the founder

 of the Paris firm,

Studio Odile Decq and the 

architecture school,

 Confluence Institute.

 Decq is known for

 her self-described 

goth appearance and style.

She is best known for the 

Cargo incubator building

 in Paris and the Fangshan

 Tangshan

 National Geopark Museum 

in Nanjing, China.

this project is dedicated to everyone trying to take a break from life, retired people or just a young one trying to stay alone and discover his self or just to spend some quality time with loved ones
